Would definitely recommend Amber Cottage for all following reasons: Location of property superb for Cartmel races, Holker Hall Festival & South Lakes exploration. Local pubs - food of very good quality. Butchers in Grange-Over-Sands a must for all meat lovers (Higginsons). Plus - cottage very cosy and all initial needs catered for - ie milk, tea, coffee & biscuits. Lovely outside patio area.

The cottage was beautifully furnished and clean comfortable and cosy. It was well equipped with high quality utensils and fitments. Even the garden was beautifully laid out. I would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone as it was the best one we have ever rented. Being so close to Lake Windermere and Coniston also made for a good location.

It's a great cottage with everything you need, cosy and comfortable, very good base to explore the beautiful lake district and beyond, quite and restful place.

I would highly recommend this lovely cottage - it was beautifully decorated and felt very cosy. It was within walking distance to pubs and shops in the village, and just a short drive into Grange-over-Sands and other places of interest in the Lakes.

We have stayed at many self-catering cottages/apartments but Amber Cottage was certainly one of the very best. It is spotlessly clean, well equipped and very warm (important in November). The location is good for visiting the South Lakes.
